Director Leigh has been a director with the ​Strathcona Regional District since February 2008, and was a director of the former Comox-Strathcona Regional District since 1993. She is passionate about protecting the interests of the people of her area. Director Leigh was Vice Chair of the Comox-Strathcona Regional Hospital board in 2007, which was her second time on the hospital board executive, having served as Chair in her previous term.

Director Leigh has been a resident of Stories Beach since 1989 and has lived in the Campbell River area since 1958.  Since graduating from university, she has had many years of business experience and political involvement.

 

Director Leigh loves the area she represents and works hard to ensure that it remains as beautiful and affordable as possible. She believes Oyster Bay-Buttle Lake is on the cusp of some great changes, including big projects such as a community sewer and a community centre.
